Botanical Garden and a day for downtime

Today our St. Louis tour took us to the Botanical Gardens. To say it's beautiful doesn't cover it. They had a wonderful children's area that we could have spent the entire day at. I think we'll try to head back on our next trip. Sofie did the rope ladder with Uncie, Samantha and I. We walked the entire park so the girls could feed Koi fish and both of them (and the rest of us) handled the heat fairly well.

Once we got "home" it was time for a bath. The girls love using the master bath at Antie and Uncie's. It's so huge I have to get into the tub with them!

We played games afterwards and I can't resist putting this picture of Sofia up... she may grow up to play cards professionally! Papa would be so proud!

Tonight my secret wish was granted when Uncie grilled steaks for us! He makes an awesome steak! Uncie also tried a rice crispy bar... does it look like he enjoyed it? Wonderful food, cherished company and dogs that don't beg... what else can you ask for?

The next day we took the opportunity for some downtime and stuck fairly close to our home base. We headed to Stacy Park, ran into some other extended family and relaxed.

This is yet another daredevil move of mine at the park that could have gone badly, but thankfully didn't. At least it's comical!
